Dr. Thompson was born and raised in rural Eastern Indiana. He attended Indiana University and completed degrees in Chemistry and Dental Technology. He attended dental school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland; upon graduation ln 1996, he completed a dental residency with the US Navy in Norfolk, VA and practiced for 4 years as a Navy Dental Officer. In 2000, he entered private practice in Toledo, OH. After 27 years of practicing in NW Ohio, he decided to relocate to the warmer climate of South Carolina. He has advanced education in many areas of dentistry and enjoys all aspects of caring for his patients.
Personally, Dr. Thompson is single and has 5 boys ranging in ages from 17-26, as well as 2 big dogs! In his spare time, he likes being entertained by his dogs, home remodeling projects, kayaking, many outdoor activities and traveling when time permits. He loves all sports, especially college football, and he is a big Michigan Football fan but does look forward to enjoying the excellent games of teams in the south! He is thrilled to become a part of a wonderful practice where we thrive to offer the best care and service to all of our patients.
